Awards to be presented immediately after A.G.M - youngest age group first.

The awards will be as follows:
Players Player: (11 aside) Award for the ‘team to vote for their player' of the year.
Player of the year: (Both) Award for the ‘best contribution in the matches' over the season.
Achievement: (Both) Recognition to an individual for the most ‘improved' team player.
Top Goal Scorer: (Mini) Recognition Of the player who has ‘scored the most goals' in competition.
Lions: (Both) Recognition to an individual's ‘personal' contribution to the team.
Lions Club Award: (Both) Recognition of an individual's ‘special' contribution.
Long Service Award: (All) To an individual who has given ‘outstanding long service' to the club.
Season's Medal: All mini soccer teams. For participation and                                     commitment throughout the year.

*Please note we would still appreciate a few more raffle prizes. Please hand to any committee member or bring them along on the day.

SUMMER HOLIDAY FOOTBALL COURSES

For those children that crave more football during the summer break, there are a variety of  courses available that they may be interested in.

Billingshurst JFC are running a four-day course at Jubilee
 Fields with Chelsea from 17th - 20th August

Chelsea soccer schools are running a variety of courses throughout the summer, so check out the web site above. Demand for these courses are high so ensure you book early.

Albion Summer Holiday Courses 2009
Albion in the Community Summer Holiday 2009 programme for children is now available to book. There are over 40 courses being held across Sussex, 27 July - 27 August 2009. Courses start at just £10; they vary in length (1-4 days/ mornings only for Mini Kickers) and include: 
          

  • Football Courses: general football fun for children of all abilities ages 6-12 (older children are welcome subject to availability – please phone to check).
  • Specialist Football Courses: Girls Fun Day, Goalkeepers & Strikers Day, and Skill Centre Trial Days (Goalkeepers & Strikers Day and Skills Centre Days are aimed at ages 7-15)
  • Multi Sports Course: learn lots of different sports skills for a range of different sports (ages 6-12).
  • Mini Kickers Courses: a fun introduction to football for younger children ages 4-5.

Albion Residential Football Course 3-7 August 2009

The annual Albion in the Community Residential course is held at Ardingly College near Haywards Heath. It is aimed at more advanced players (aged 9-15) who play regular football for a school/club team and/or attend Albion Skill Centres. Children will benefit from a full programme of football coaching, plus fun games and evening activities.

The Albion at Take Part Brighton & Hove International Festival of Sport
Preston Park - 27 June 2009
 Come and meet Albion in the Community and Brighton & Hove Albion FC staff at Preston Park, Brighton on Saturday 27 June, 12-5pm.
 This is a free family day out organised by Brighton & Hove City Council, which launches the two-week Take Part Festival. The Preston Park event gives everyone the chance to discover more about different sports and have fun trying some sports related activities, or you can just bring a picnic and enjoy some of the displays. Grown ups can find out more about the Albion in the Community’s range of community courses and programmes (including Adult Education and Training at the “In Zone”), and children can take part in our fun skills sessions (including Football, Multi Sport, Disability Football and Junior Gully’s Girls). The BHAFC Club Shop and Gully and his friends will be there too with the latest Ticket and Match information and a chance to sign up for free membership of the Gully’s Gang and Team Stripes –the junior Seagulls supporters’ clubs.

 

 

Albion Saturday Soccer Club FREE Taster, Hove Park, 11 July 2009
                                                                                                                                                                     A chance for children of all abilities aged 5-12 to try out our Saturday Soccer Club.
This is part of a Free Take Part Local Event at Hove Park, organised by Brighton & Hove Council. No need to pre-book - just turn up at Hove Park between 10.30am -12.30pm, wearing trainers and suitable clothing and have a go!

Registrations Reminder!

There are still quite a few players that have not returned their forms yet.
If you wish to register your child for next season, please print off the attached form and fill in and return with your payment, either to your coach or send directly to the registration secretary – Gill Woodlock.  The address is on the form. We would really appreciate it if you could endeavour to get the forms returned as soon as possible please, in order to help us with the time consuming registration process. Forms can also be printed off from the website.
There will be no increase in the membership fees for the coming season.
If anyone has difficulty in paying, please contact our registration secretary,Gill.

 

We hope that everyone has had an enjoyable season and hope that as many of you that can will try and attend the awards day. We look forward to seeing you then.
