Under 12’s Season Report
The under 12s had a difficult season having been promoted in the previous campaign.
We started with only 12 registered players and through injury and other player commitments played some games with only 10 boys. This coupled with the step up in standard, proved too much for the young side and heavy defeats rocked confidence, making matters even more difficult.
However, a combination of a couple of new players to strengthen the squad and a fresh belief in the teams ability to win, resulted in a much more positive second half to the season with a number of solid victories that provided some reward for the determination and resolve shown by all.
The team however did finish 2nd from bottom and will therefore be relegated. However all should be confident for a positive new campaign, as there can be no doubt about the side’s improvement over the season.
We also entered two six aside tournaments with all players participating in one side or the other, and despite not winning either the Northchapel or Worthing tournaments, both teams enjoyed taking part and put up credible performances.
We all look forward to the forthcoming awards day when all players will be celebrated, along with those that have taken this year’s accolades.
