OUR NEW WEBSITE IS UP AND RUNNING!!

We are pleased to announce the opening of our long awaited new website.

You will be able to access all sorts of information, have access to club fixtures and results, and be able to keep up to date with events.

In the near future we plan to have formal team photographs of all the club squads.

THANK YOU PARENTS!

A big thank you to all those parents that have stepped forward and organised a parent rota, to help train the under 6/7's. We greatly appreciate their help and the free time they have given up for the enjoyment and betterment of the boys training

This is just a temporary measure, however, until a suitable coach is appointed.

Child Protection

Since the F.A. is encouraging junior football clubs to become more proactive when it comes to safeguarding young people in football, LBLJFC will be introducing policies and procedures over the next few months to reflect this. The first step will be to ask parents to sign consent forms for photographs to be taken of their children which may be used on the website/newsletter and adhoc publications. These will be given to coaches to hand out at training sessions.

The next step will be to ask those with direct contact with the children (all coaches initially) to have a CRB ( criminal record bureau ) check; many of you will be familiar with this from helping at Scouts, Brownies etc…This will hopefully be followed up with FA training for coaches that will cover first aid and child protection skills.

All this is a small step on the ladder allowing us as a club to ensure best practice in the game and show a commitment of our responsibilities to young people.

Helen Ordever - Child Protection Officer

A PLEA FOR PARENT REPS!

We are currently seeking Parent Reps for the following age squads: U9/U10/U11/U16.

It would help us greatly if a parent from each age squad would be willing to help us out a little.

For example handing out forms to parents, liaising and assisting coaches with general admin – nothing too arduous!

Also attending the odd committee meeting, if necessary, to air parents views and suggestions.

Any parental help/input is always welcome, even if you just have a few minutes to spare helping to put up/take down goals etc

Help our club benefit from new FREE sports equipment!

TESCO VOUCHERS

A NOTE FROM PHIL KEEN – U11'S COACH

    Thank You!

Thank you to Ron Bellchambers, one of our new parents, for agreeing after a very short period with the club to take mid week training for the U11's.

This is much needed training, which coincides with the boys move up to playing on a full size pitch, where stamina and fitness will be key factors in the team's success.

One of our other new parents has also agreed to help with mid week training too, which is again great for ensuring that we can keep going.

Ron also deserves thanks for being our linesman week in and week out!

NEW RECRUITS WANTED!

We still have a squad of only 13 players, so if any body knows of U11's players looking for a team, please get them to contact me. phil.Keen@amec.com

With some local teams, like Partridge Green folding, there is a possibility of players looking to join another team.

We are also in need of players from other age groups in the club, most particularly the U8'S – all the coaches

e-mails are listed on the website, or contact one of the committee, if you know of anyone that is interested.

Finally!

I f you have any comments to make about the website/newsletter, or if you have any suggestions on how things can be improved, please do not hesitate to contact us.
