Lower Beeding Junior Football Club

Newsletter November 2006

Volume 1, Issue 5

O ur congratulations go to an individual and also a squad from Lower Beeding

Lions JFC.

Firstly to: Scot Bratt, from Roy Wicking's Under 14's squad.

Scott recently passed the Mid Sussex Representatives trials, which he was entered

into via his school, Warden Park in Cuckfield and has been accepted into the

Mid Sussex team.

A great achievement from him and to Roy 's excellent coaching!

Also, ‘Well Done' to Clive Pyzer and his squad from last season (under 9's) who won the Sportsmanship of the league award.

The award is for the team that shows the best sportsmanlike conduct throughout

the season and is voted for by the coaches of the opposition teams.

This is a super accomplishment and a good reflection on the club.

Good sportsmanship and team spirit is after all what our club represents.

Sadly it is noticeably often lacking these days.

Text Box: A Note from Clive Pyzer to his Squad ‘It is important that we try to win and compete hard but it must be done in the right spirit and with the correct attitude, which clearly you have done. Well done, you are a credit to the club.' Just simply shaking hands at the end of a match with your opponents and accepting defeat gracefully is so important.

Text Box: PHOTOS Now that the football season is under full swing I would like to remind parents, if they haven't already done so, to please complete and sign the child consent forms and hand them back to your relevant coaches or parent reps as soon as possible please! We would like to include formal photos of all the squads on our web site and The County Times is interested in doing an article with some photos of our club, which would be great publicity, at a time when we are trying to encourage new players We need your written consent though, before any pictures can be used. Please see the attached form.
