Charter Status Award for
Lower Beeding Lions
After months of hard work on and off the pitch, Lower Beeding Lions Junior Football Club has finally been rewarded for their achievements and dedication to youth football by officially being awarded Charter Status.
They were presented with their award by Keveena Mosen, a football development officer from the Sussex Football Association at Lower Beeding Village Hall.

The presentation took place on the evening of Wednesday 26th November, where the committee, coaches and assistant coaches were present. Invited along were the captains from each age group within the club to represent their individual teams.
The FA Charter Standard Programme provides recognition that clubs are well run and sustainable, with child protection and safety paramount. It also recognises a club's commitment to coaching, player and coach development, and the raising of standards and behaviour in the game.
Lower Beeding Lions success is a testament to what a well run club we have become, with a strong group of Committee members playing a major part in providing structure, guidance and funding. However, without the willingness and commitment of the FA qualified coaches and their assistants, combined with the help and support the club receives from you, the parents, this award would not have been possible.
Thank you to everyone that has helped us on the path to becoming a much better run club and ultimately helping to improve the standard of youth football.
"This last season has seen a major step forward for the Club. We have attracted grants from the Saxon Weald Community Scheme, Horsham District Council and the Football Foundation. Their support for "grass roots" football has helped the Club enormously on its path to acquire Charter Status and we will continue to work hard to maintain the high standards that we have set.”
James Woodlock - Club Secretary
"Our primary concern is for the welfare and safety of our players and to provide an acceptable environment where our coaches can concentrate on their role with the children. The grants, that have so generously been given, have helped us to significantly improve the quality of our kit and equipment making the whole business of training and playing football safe and fun".
